CF Industries has reported a nearly 20% increase in its fourth-quarter profits, driven by higher ammonia sales and stable prices. The company's sales surged due to contracts related to its acquisition of a Louisiana ammonia facility, which is expected to bolster demand in North America and Brazil despite a decline in global crop prices. The firm's net income reached $328 million for the quarter, compared to $274 million the previous year.
