Several 'Hon-Ching' chain group buying supermarkets in Kaohsiung and Pingtung closed down unexpectedly, with franchisees accusing the head office's responsible person of malicious fraud for bankruptcy. To compensate for losses, they held a 50% off sale on all products, attracting customers. The company confirmed poor management but denied fraud and debt. The supermarkets, with nearly ten stores, used to generate an average monthly revenue of 3 million Taiwan dollars per store, now facing accusations and disputes in Taiwan's group buying market.
