In response to a fishing boat being brought back to a Chinese port for allegedly crossing into Chinese waters, DPP legislator Shen Po-yang warned that previous fishing activities between Taiwan and China may have been overlooked because China considered Taiwan as part of its territory, not as disputed waters. Shen emphasized that recent incidents signify a shift in this practice, citing a drone incident near the Matsu Islands and urging a serious response to such provocations, even suggesting a possible halt to the introduction of Chinese investments and labor under the 'new norm.'
