Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-Mai expressed dissatisfaction with the blue camp's version of the Fiscal Plan Law, questioning the bias towards the North over the South. He suggested relocating the capital to Kaohsiung if the Kuomintang wants to increase Taipei's allocation by 3%. In response, New Taipei Mayor Hou Yu-Yi emphasized that capital relocation is a serious issue and has no connection to the Fiscal Plan Law. He stressed the importance of open and fair distribution at the local level regarding the law.
