China EV Industry Leader Urges EU Investment Talks

Reported about 1 year ago

Former Chinese Minister of Science and Technology, considered the 'father' of China's electric car industry, Wan Gang, has called for investment talks between Beijing and the European Union to resume. He emphasizes the need to ease trade tensions and negotiate an investment deal, pointing out that the EU's threat of imposing tariffs on imported EVs is politically motivated and lacks support from all EU countries. Wan suggests that resuming talks on the Comprehensive Agreement on Investment could help improve relations between China and the EU.
