In response to the recent US announcement of selling a batch of F-16 fighter jet components to Taiwan, China's Foreign Ministry has announced sanctions against Lockheed Martin, including freezing assets of 3 high-ranking executives and 3 entities owned by the company in China. This is seen as a retaliatory move for what China perceives as severe violations of its sovereignty and interference in its internal affairs by the US through arms sales to Taiwan. This is not the first time China has imposed sanctions on Lockheed Martin and its related companies, reflecting ongoing tensions between the US and China over Taiwan and other issues.
