Reported 11 months ago

According to the official website of China's National Forestry and Grassland Administration on June 8, China celebrated its 8th 'Cultural and Natural Heritage Day,' boasting a total of 57 World Heritage sites, including 14 natural and 4 mixed cultural and natural sites, ranking first globally in both categories. China has been focusing on comprehensive ecosystem management, establishing a national park-centric conservation system, and implementing ecological compensation mechanisms to enhance the overall protection of its World Natural and Mixed Heritage Sites. The establishment of national parks such as Three Parallel Rivers, Giant Panda habitats, and Wuyishan have laid the foundation for long-term protection of sites like Mount Kekexili, the Giant Panda habitat, and Wuyishan. China's World Natural Heritage sites include Huanglong, Jiuzhaigou, Wulingyuan, Sanjiangyuan, Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuaries, and more, making significant contributions to global natural heritage conservation efforts.
