China Shipbuilding (2644) held a shareholder meeting and board of directors election today (6/18), with Han Bixiang continuing as chairman and adding a new independent director. Former Kaohsiung Deputy Mayor and DPP Secretary-General, current Chairman of the Gaonanfeng Education Foundation of Kaohsiung City Hsu Liming was elected, marking his first time serving as a director in a listed company. China Shipbuilding added a total of eight directors, including four independent directors, with nominations including current directors Han Bixiang, Han Yulin, Huang Fengzheng, and Liu Xinlu, as well as three incumbent independent directors. The company's profit for the last year was NT$43.11 billion.
