China is pushing the EU to remove the preliminary tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles by July 4 as both sides agree to resume trade talks. The EU is set to impose duties of up to 38.1% on Chinese-made EVs, citing unfair subsidies. China is eager to negotiate and avoid a tariff war similar to the one with the US. Talks have restarted, with analysts highlighting the necessity for China to make significant concessions for the tariffs to be lifted before November 2.
