On June 17, 2024, at 6:20 AM, a Chinese civil aviation plane was reported to have deliberately crossed over the airspace of Kinmen and Matsu. The Civil Aviation Administration responded that in the afternoon, several civil aviation planes flew over the vicinity and airspace of Kinmen and Matsu, but the altitude did not enter our jurisdiction's Kinmen and Matsu terminal control areas, and did not affect our civil aviation flights. The administration mentioned adverse weather conditions due to a front affecting the strait and mainland coastal areas, urging vigilance for flight safety. Military expert Hsu Geng-rui expressed concern over the Chinese civil aviation plane flying over Kinmen and Matsu, calling it a serious national security issue that requires clarification from the Ministry of National Defense and the Civil Aviation Administration.
