A male Chinese national surnamed Ruan, a former captain of a Chinese naval vessel, was arrested for sailing into the Tamsui River on June 9th. Due to his background, involving military experience and the national security system's involvement, the Shilin District Prosecutors' Office questioned him to clarify his motives for coming to Taiwan. After determining his suspected violations of immigration laws, the prosecutors applied for his detention and restricted access, citing concerns of collusion, escape, and the need for further investigation by the National Security Special Investigator Lin Bowen.
