Chinese Private Aerospace Company's Tianlong-3 Liquid Carrier Rocket Test Fails

According to Chinese media, on June 30, 2024, the Chinese private aerospace company, Space Pioneer Technology, conducted a failed test of their self-developed Tianlong-3 liquid carrier rocket at the Henan Gongyi Comprehensive Test Center. The rocket experienced structural failure during testing, leading to it falling into a mountainous area with no casualties reported. The Tianlong-3 rocket, designed for China's satellite internet constellation, was compared in performance to SpaceX's Falcon 9, with a diameter of 3.8 meters, a liftoff mass of 590 tons, and a payload capacity of 17 tons to low Earth orbit (LEO) and 14 tons to sun-synchronous orbit (SSO).
