According to media reports, Chinese state media has set its sights on Taiwan's TV political talk shows, actively participating in the themes and scripts, and even having Xinhua News Agency reporters on-site to ensure that the programs meet the requirements of China's Taiwan Affairs Office. In response, Mainland Affairs Council Chairman Chiu Chui-Cheng confirmed the incident and is currently conducting an administrative investigation with the responsible agency under the Ministry of Culture. Premier Su Tseng-Chang led officials to the Legislative Yuan for interpellation today. Kuomintang legislator Hsieh Lung-chieh questioned why the Chinese reporter overseeing the media was allowed to leave, and Su clarified that there is no central kitchen. The Chinese reporter has been transferred back to China.
