On June 30, 2024, footage emerged of a failed test launch of the Chinese privately-owned company 'Tianbing Technology' rocket 'Tianlong-3', resulting in an explosion with debris falling in Gongyi City, Henan Province. The rocket lost power shortly after liftoff, crashed into the mountains, and exploded. The incident caused public outcry as the location was relatively close to urban areas, although no casualties were reported. 'Tianlong-3' is a large liquid carrier rocket designed for China's satellite internet constellation, compared to SpaceX's Falcon 9, and the explosion video circulated online sparking discussions about the incident.
