In Suzhou, China, on June 24th, a Chinese woman named Hu Youping bravely intervened to stop a knife attack on a Japanese mother and son, ultimately sacrificing her life. After the news of her death on June 26th, the Japanese Embassy also expressed condolences. Hu Youping, a school bus staff member, prevented further harm by restraining the attacker, but tragically succumbed to her injuries. The suspect was arrested at the scene.
