In response to the Jinghua City case, the Taipei City Council formed an investigative group and conducted interviews with various officials, including former Mayor Ko Wen-je and former Deputy Mayor Pang Chin-sheng, to determine administrative responsibilities. However, Ko Wen-je pushed back, accusing them of making insinuations. The investigative group discussed potential administrative responsibilities of Ko and Pang in a recent meeting, with some members raising concerns about irregular financial transactions and suggesting that the city government take action. Despite Ko's claims of being unfairly targeted, the council is focused on uncovering the truth. Jinghua City also released a statement denying any wrongdoing and threatening legal action against unfounded accusations.
