Closure of Sapphire Ballroom Approaching 30 Years, Kaohsiung Music Center Revives Glory of Piggy King with AI

Reported 8 months ago

The iconic Sapphire Ballroom in Kaohsiung, which thrived in the 70s and 80s, closed its doors officially in 1995. Now transformed into residential buildings, only remnants of the ballroom exist, evoking memories of its past glamour through old photos. The upcoming 30th anniversary of its closure in 2024 will be commemorated by the Kaohsiung Music Center, using AI to recreate the performances of the late Piggy King. The center plans to organize concerts, launch documentaries, and exhibitions to preserve the legacy of Sapphire Ballroom, aiming to bring back its classic charm and influence on the entertainment industry.
