Norwegian software company Cognite, co-founded by John Markus Lervik, announced its plan to relocate its headquarters to the U.S. this year to take advantage of faster growth in North America, Asia, and the Middle East. At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Lervik mentioned that Europe's regulatory climate has hindered expansion, prompting the shift. Cognite, which focuses on industrial software and is backed by Aker ASA and other investors, aims to aggressively grow its presence amid the U.S. market's potential.
