Comcast Struggles with Broadband Losses Despite Promotions

Reported about 13 hours ago

Comcast Corp. continues to face challenges as it reported a drop of 104,000 broadband subscribers in the third quarter, marking its tenth consecutive quarter of losses in this area. Although the losses were fewer than analysts expected, the company's revenue from broadband fell by 1.4%. In response to fierce competition from streaming services and alternative internet providers, Comcast has launched promotions, including a five-year price guarantee and lower-priced mobile plans. Despite some successes, such as 414,000 additional mobile subscribers, executives warn that the current strategies may pressure profits further in the upcoming quarters.
