On the first workday after the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, commuters faced inconvenience as the YouBike system experienced a temporary shutdown this morning at 7:51 a.m., disrupting commuting routines. The Taipei City Department of Transportation promptly addressed the issue with the system restored at 8:27 a.m. The malfunction affected the YouBike 2.0 and YouBike 2.0E electric-assist bikes, advising users to opt for alternative transportation before normal service resumed. Despite the disruption, the system is now back in operation. Photo shows a YouBike station in Taipei's Xinyi District. Edited by Qin Yingwen.
