Following President Joe Biden's performance in the first presidential debate of the 2024 election cycle, concerns have been raised among voters regarding his cognitive health and ability to serve for another term. Stifel chief Washington policy strategist Brian Gardner suggests that there might be a need for a serious conversation within the Biden family about his candidacy, as the majority of voters surveyed have doubts about his ability to be the next president. While the possibility of Biden being pushed out of the race is low, the idea of him being persuaded to step aside is not impossible, although his inner circle seems to be pushing back against that scenario.
