In Pingtung City, Taiwan, on June 17, 2024, a murder case occurred at a shrimp fishing farm involving a 20-year-old volunteer soldier from the Army's 333rd Brigade who was on leave to meet up with classmates for dinner. The soldier, surnamed Wang, was fatally stabbed multiple times during a conflict at the gathering, suspected to have stemmed from disagreements after drinking alcohol. The 17-year-old suspect, who had mutual friends with the victim, was apprehended by the police. The victim's father expressed shock and grief at the tragic loss of his son, who was killed in the incident involving multiple stab wounds, particularly to his legs resulting in a fatal artery injury.
