Since the price of eggs increased in March and then started to drop in April, the food and beverage industry adjusted prices accordingly, but faced challenges in lowering prices due to rising costs of logistics, raw materials, packaging, labor, and operating expenses. To alleviate living pressure on the public, the three major convenience store chains in Taiwan have launched promotions on 'tea eggs': at Hi-Life, a tea egg costs only 9 yuan, while FamilyMart offers an extra egg for an additional 7 yuan. These promotions aim to provide affordable options for egg lovers amidst the economic challenges.
