In the ongoing controversy surrounding the Taiwan Zhi Guang case, Taipei City Council's Finance and Construction Committee reviewed the city government's overall accounts. Councilor Lin Shi-zong questioned whether the main culprit in the case was the mother contract, and the Taipei City Information Bureau indicated a discussion towards terminating the mother contract approach. However, Mayor Chiang Wan-an clarified that the current issue lies in the subsidiary contract for police surveillance cameras, which has been terminated immediately. He emphasized dealing with issues based on facts and stated that the problem will be handled accordingly, emphasizing a consistent stance on the matter.
