On June 23, 2024, the US nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, USS Theodore Roosevelt, arrived at the military port in Busan, South Korea, preparing to participate in the upcoming 'Freedom Blade' military exercise. This exercise marks the first time the US, Japan, and South Korea will conduct joint military drills together, symbolizing the ability of the US to unite with the Japanese Self-Defense Forces and the South Korean military to counter the threats posed by the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the North Korean People's Army, and the Russian military.
