Reported 12 months ago

A man and his wife surnamed Hu from Taipei dined at a restaurant on 12th, where the wife accidentally found a 2cm long medical needle in the char siu. After the restaurant apologized and suggested it might be a broken needle leftover from vaccinating pigs, the couple reported to the police. The Health Bureau inspected 6 days later, causing dissatisfaction. The couple hopes authorities will address the food safety issue, questioning the meat supply chain in Taiwan. The Health Bureau found deficiencies in the restaurant during the inspection and demanded improvements to avoid penalties.
