Taipei, Taiwan - The Wende Police Station of Neihu Branch in Taipei received a report recently about stolen cables in a warehouse of a new building construction site. After setting up a task force, the police reviewed surveillance cameras around the site and identified a male suspect who meticulously planned the theft by climbing the fence at night to steal the cables. The suspect covered two digits of his license plate with tape to evade detection, but was eventually caught with stolen cables, drugs, and drug paraphernalia at his home in Nangang District. The case has been handed over to the Shilin District Prosecutors Office for investigation. The Neihu Police urge large construction sites to increase security patrols and surveillance camera density to prevent such burglaries, advising the public to report suspicious activities to the police immediately.
