On June 10, 2024, the CPBL game between Chinatrust Brothers and Fubon Guardians saw a controversial call in the 6th inning where Chinatrust's pitcher Wei Shuo-Cheng was deemed to have taken too long, resulting in a walk. However, the league admitted after reviewing the footage that the batter, Shen Hao-Wei, did not violate any rules as he only turned toward the pitcher with 7 seconds left. The umpire team has faced internal review and docked assessment points to prevent similar incidents in the future.
