In a CPBL matchup between the CTBC Brothers and the Fubon Guardians, a rare protest unfolded when Brothers' pitcher coach Wang Chien-ming walked out of the rest area to confront the umpires due to a time violation by pitcher Wei Shuo-cheng, resulting in a walk to a Fubon batter. The game eventually saw the Fubon Guardians come back from a 2-3 deficit to win 5-3, starting from the 6th inning. Despite protests from both teams' coaching staff, the original ruling remained, leading to a tied score at the end of the 6th inning.
