On June 10, 2024, CPBL's CTBC Brothers introduced a new theme visual for their upcoming 'Hanshin Koshien Stadium Day' event, featuring head coach Hideo Nomo standing in the C position. Nomo expressed shock at how prominent he looked in the photo, saying he didn't want to be so eye-catching. As part of the event, two former Hanshin Tigers players were invited to Taiwan, with Nomo jokingly asking if there would be a typhoon on the day of the event. Nomo also talked about his mentor and benefactor Akinori Otsuka, expressing both fear and admiration for him. The CPBL event is expected to draw a large crowd, with Nomo hoping for the attendance milestone to be reached not only on the day Otsuka attends but also when Kazuo Matsui visits the next day.
