In an effort to combat corruption in the green energy sector, prosecutors in Taiwan took action against individuals involved in bribery and extortion schemes. This included the arrest of a former township chief in Yunlin and the summons of a former legislator's assistant in Taipei. The cases involved alleged bribery to push for solar energy projects and extortion of green energy companies. The investigations are part of a larger initiative called '靖平專案' aimed at eradicating corruption in the green energy industry.
