A fire broke out in the Criminal Police Bureau in Xinyi District, Taipei City, with the point of origin suspected to be the ammunition depot on the 2nd floor, resulting in smoke and fire damage, burning an area of about 1 square meter. The fire was extinguished by firefighters at 8:48 PM after being reported at 8:33 PM. The fingerprint department was undergoing equipment upgrade works during the incident, and the exact cause of the fire is still pending investigation.
