Taiwanese breakdancer Sun Chen competed in the Paris Olympic qualification event in Budapest today and, although he didn't make it to the quarterfinals, he secured the Olympic ticket by ranking 10th overall, becoming Taiwan's first breakdancer to qualify for the Olympics. Sun Chen, born on the day of the 1999 earthquake, started learning breakdancing at the age of 12 and completely self-taught through YouTube. Despite facing criticism for mimicking Japanese B-Boy Issei in 2017, he remained steadfast in his goal and finally achieved his Olympic dream today.
