Decrease of 10% in Number of Injured in New Taipei Traffic Accidents Shows Prevention Efforts Effective | Launch of 'Motorcycle Safety Month'

The police will implement a special project called 'Motorcycle Safety Month,' aiming to promote road safety, based on statistics that reveal a decrease in traffic accidents in New Taipei City from January to May 113, with 18,306 cases occurring, 61 fatalities, and 24,831 injuries, which is a decrease of 9%, 2%, and 10%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. Efforts will be made to enhance accident prevention measures, especially as motorcycle accidents remain a significant concern, comprising more than 60% of the total incidents.
