Denmark recalls 3 spicy instant noodle soup brands due to acute poisoning risks

Reported 7 months ago

Food authorities in Denmark have recalled three spicy instant noodle products from South Korea, including Samyang's popular spicy noodle brands, over concerns of possible acute poisoning due to high capsaicin levels. The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration advised consumers, especially children and vulnerable individuals, to discard or return the products. The recall was initiated after social media challenges involving these extremely spicy noodles posed health risks, with symptoms like nausea and high blood pressure. Samyang Foods responded, stating the recall was related to spiciness rather than product quality.
