A severe fire broke out in an apartment on Yanshou Road in Tucheng, New Taipei City, causing three deaths allegedly due to a lithium battery explosion. The local neighborhood chief, Teng Yuelan, revealed that the surviving homeowner, surnamed Li, was emotionally devastated and unable to express the profound pain he felt. Teng mentioned that the Li family, who were all engaged in gardening, had a good relationship with the community, making the tragic incident even more heartbreaking. The wife and daughter of Li assisted in the investigation at the scene.
