Diesel Prices Rise on Cold Weather Forecast

Reported 5 days ago

The benchmark retail diesel price increased slightly to $3.503 per gallon, influenced by rising futures prices driven by expected extreme cold weather in January. Although the diesel price fluctuated over the past month, recent forecasts have prompted a 2.44% rise in ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) prices, as well as a significant increase in natural gas prices. With low distillate inventories heading into a particularly cold season, market analysts predict further price increases in the coming weeks.
