Mirror Media reported on June 24, 2024, that Wang Gui-feng, a director of a subsidiary of Taichung Commercial Bank, is under investigation for embezzling over 2 billion NT dollars. He rented luxury cars like a Rolls-Royce Phantom and a limited edition Aston Martin Zagato supercar for personal use, causing significant losses to the bank. Wang also sponsored another company with excessive advertisement fees, resulting in even more losses. Besides luxury cars, authorities also seized wine, cigars, watches, and froze over 50 financial accounts. Wang, son of a prominent businessman, is accused of using his position for personal gain, disregarding company governance and legalities. He was released on bail but is facing serious charges for his actions.
