On June 25, 2024, the Shilin District Court ruled against Presidential Deputy Secretary-General Ho Chih-wei in his lawsuit against Democratic Progressive Party legislators Wang Shih-cheng and Chuang Jui-hsiung, seeking a total compensation of 6 million. Although Ho Chih-wei lost the civil case, the criminal aspect is still under investigation by the Shilin District Prosecutors Office. The court found that the accusations made during the DPP legislator primaries were part of legitimate political discourse, ultimately ruling against Ho Chih-wei's claims of defamation and seeking compensation.
