Novak Djokovic comfortably defeated Roberto Carballes Baena at the French Open to advance to the third round. Djokovic, the defending champion, expressed his belief in his ability to win a Grand Slam despite not reaching a final this season. He played some of his best tennis of the year in the match, setting up a third-round encounter with Lorenzo Musetti. In another match, Alexander Zverev also secured a routine straight-set victory over David Goffin to move into the third round.
