The controversy over priority seats has resurfaced recently after a woman, who had worked a 12-hour shift and was resting on a priority seat on the Taipei MRT, was asked to give up her seat by elderly passengers, causing her to collapse emotionally and hit a pillar at the station. Dr. Jiang Guanyu suggested canceling all priority seats to avoid such misunderstandings and emphasized the need to correctly identify who needs to give up their seat. He highlighted the risks of long work hours on health and criticized the lack of consideration for others' well-being.
