Legislative Yuan's Internal Administration Committee reviewed parts of the amendment draft of the 'Public Official Elections and Recalls Act' on July 4. The DPP caucus occupied the chair early in the morning, while 8 People First Party legislators were absent. PFP legislator Mac Yujen clarified that she did sign in, and counteraccused the DPP of causing disturbances and hindering meetings. The PFP expressed opposition to raising the recall threshold and criticized the DPP for lack of democracy and discussion, labeling their actions as unreasonable. DPP legislators accused PFP legislators, including Mac Yujen, of being salary thieves, while PFP legislator Huang Kuo-chang retorted that signing in doesn't equate to attendance and pointed out DPP legislators behaving unreasonably.
