The Executive Yuan rejected the Parliament reform bill as unconstitutional, leading to the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) considering raising a constitutional interpretation to override the decision. Kuomintang lawmaker Lo Chih-chiang criticized the DPP for contradicting their past support for reforms they now claim violate the constitution, with reference to former DPP President Chen Shui-bian's advocacy for the return of parliamentary investigative powers to the Legislative Yuan. Lo also highlighted academic Lin Cho-shui's criticism of the DPP's stance, labeling them 'constitutional illiterates.'
