On June 21, the Legislative Yuan voted to reject the reconsideration of the parliamentary powers reform bill. In response, the Presidential Office spokesperson, Kuo Ya-hui, announced that the Executive Yuan and the DPP caucus in the Legislative Yuan would seek constitutional interpretation. President Lai Ching-te will carefully consider whether to file for constitutional interpretation. KMT legislator Hsu Yu-chen urged Lai Ching-te not just to stifle the parliament but to bravely face parliamentary reform. Hsu criticized the DPP's rush to seek constitutional interpretation after the vote, emphasizing the importance of unity and rationality in facing parliamentary reform for an active parliament and calling for genuine reform for a cleaner country.
