On June 20, 2024, DPP Legislative Yuan caucus whip Wu Si-yao stated that the DPP caucus will not maliciously boycott as the Legislative Yuan will vote on the oversight case the following day. Wu emphasized that the DPP will abide by the rules and maintain order in the chamber, urging opposing citizens to respect each other and remain rational. The Legislative Yuan will decide on the oversight case after the Executive Yuan requested a review due to perceived impracticalities in the parliamentary powers law that was passed last month. Wu reassured the public that the DPP has never resorted to physical violence or excessive boycotts in the legislature, and called for a peaceful and respectful environment for the voting process.
