During a police raid on an illegal Texas Hold'em poker casino camouflaged as a bar on June 18th in Taipei, YouTuber I.C Charlie, who is known as the boyfriend of social media influencer DiMei, was found to be one of the masterminds behind the operation. Additionally, it was revealed that social media celebrity 'Chao Ge' was also present at the establishment, but he denied involvement in gambling, claiming he was just there to drink and didn't even know Charlie. The casino, frequented by wealthy individuals, international students, and even live-streamers, operated from 1 pm to 1 am with buy-ins ranging from 6,600 to 33,000 NTD per game. The police seized over 630,000 NTD in profits, equipment, and detained several individuals under gambling laws and public order maintenance regulations.
