Chicago White Sox are set to bring up pitcher Drew Thorpe for his Major League Baseball debut against the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday. Thorpe will be the fourth White Sox pitcher to debut this season, with manager Pedro Grifol expressing confidence in his abilities as a strike-thrower and competitor. Acquired from the Padres, Thorpe, a top prospect, has impressed with his performance in the minors, earning a 1.35 ERA and 56 strikeouts this season for Double-A Birmingham.
