Driver's Inattentiveness Leads to Power Outage in 826 Houses in Kaohsiung

In Kaohsiung, due to a driver's momentary inattentiveness, a car grazed a sidewalk transformer, hitting six motorcycles and one car, causing a power outage in 826 nearby households. Police notified Taiwan Power Company for emergency repairs, restoring power by around 9 a.m. The driver suffered minor injuries, tested negative for alcohol, and is suspected of not paying attention to the road conditions. The incident led to two damaged transformers and the need for compensation from the driver to cover repair costs.
