The Taiwan Coast Guard discovered 893kg of high-purity methamphetamine hidden in the fuel tank of the Mongolian-registered cargo ship 'Silver Dragon' at Kaohsiung Port, with an estimated market value of around 9 billion NTD. Following interrogation, the Myanmar captain and chief engineer were detained upon the prosecutor's request. The Coast Guard's intelligence division received a tip and launched a search operation on the vessel, discovering the drugs. This drug bust is part of the 10th phase of the anti-drug operation 'Stay Safe and Crack Down,' focusing on seizing drugs like marijuana, rainbow cigarettes, and methamphetamine.
