Dr. Qian Zhenghong, a gastroenterologist at Chang Gung Hospital in Keelung, was surprised to find out that a 70-year-old man's moderate fatty liver disappeared during a recent ultrasound exam. The man, who suffered from obesity, high blood pressure, fatty liver, and knee pain, managed to lose weight from 74kg to 64kg in a year by switching his breakfast to dinner. By consuming a rich breakfast and lunch with minimal food intake at night, the man gradually lost weight and cured his fatty liver. Research also indicates that eating more during lunch increases the risk of obesity, while spreading calorie intake over more meals helps prevent weight gain.
